I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT THE MOST AMAIZING EXPERIENCE WITH BROCK AND HIS HAIR KNOWLEDGE!! i had the same stylist since i was 12 yrs old and when i moved to la i still traveled to see her in OC untill she stopped doing hair. i tryed a couple higher end salons in LA but the prices were either too high for the service i got or i just wasnt happy with the outcome. BROCK not only made me feel and love the beauty of the outcome after he did my hair but he was also gental and friendly! AMAIZING WORK, AMAZING KNOWLEDGE, QUALITY OUTCOME WITH LOW PRICES AND MOST OF A LL AMAIZING PERSONALITY!!! CALL AND SCHEDUEL WITH HIM TODAY YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT I PROMISE! | I can't tell you how many times i have spent over $100 on a
cut and color job and walked out of the place feeling unsatisfied - sure
the person did what I asked, but somehow it wasn't what I had pictured in
my head... So when I needed to get my hair done again (10 days before my
wedding!) and my usual $100+ so-so hairdresser didn't have any
appointments, I poked around online and found Salon XC. They claimed to
be color experts and they had an appointment open 2 days in advance, so I
took the risk - anything would be better than the 8 month old faded color
and stringy (admittedly self maintained) bangs that I had going on!
When I came in the staff was very nice - they knew my name and offered me
a drink - and they had a good selection of magazines. My stylist was Joy
K. - she was quiet and listened to me ramble about how I wanted brown hair
with brown highlights that didn't look like highlights but looked natural
and how my last colorist had put horrible blond streaks in my hair that
were still present (half way down my head) and also that my bangs didn't
look right when I pulled my hair back...(blah blah blah....).
Then she went to work. She asked a few questions about the color,
explained a few things to me about what was possible and what she could
do. I ok'd her suggestions (still apprehensive and hoping that she
understood what I wanted) and she went to work. Half way through I
could tell that I had found a gem - boy is she a perfectionist! The
owner of the salon (Ricky) told me that she used to work for a very
upscale salon (Sorry i forget the name!) based in NY and LA, and she
really knows her stuff! My color is EXACTLY as I had pictured it in my
head, and the the cut looks fabulous too. Joy did a wonderful job of
listening to what I wanted and evaluating my color and day to day style to
come up with the perfect look for my wedding day.

| I hate finding places to get my hair cut. This may be a result of childhood when my Mom would give me the choice of a Flowbee haircut or going to the slightly intoxicated old-school barber downtown.
I have short hair and like to keep it like that, so finding a good place means I'll be visiting every 3 to 4 weeks. When I first moved to L.A. from the LBC (had a good spot in Belmont Shore), I got desperate and went to a Fantastic Sams for lack of finding a better place. What a mistake, I know you don't have to tell me.
Then, I found Salon XC one day while heading north on Doheny into the land of plastic surgery, Bentley coupes and B-list actors that is the South Beverly Hills area. Being only a half mile from my place it's quick, easy and reasonably priced at $22 for a guy's cut. Plus, they have good magazines if you have to wait and flat screens that you can watch while getting your cut.
Here's the deal on parking. After 6, you won't have a problem parking on Doheny and otherwise there's a small lot behind the building. -Brian C. |

| I first took notice of this salon when i was having lunch at Crazy Fish about a year ago. They were having a special price on the haircut. I decided to send my picky teenager daughter first as the guinea pig. To my surprise her haircut came out beautiful. Then my son and husband were the next to get their haircut. Then they were satisfied. My guy from another salon ended up moving to New York. So, now here i am getting all my hair services done including color & highlights. Finally a salon that does excellent work and still affordable in Beverly Hills. I'm very happy!!!! -tnahpele |

Whenever I move to a new neighborhood, I need to find a local dependable hair salon. I'm a low maintenance guy, but I've been around too many years to trust the "supercuts" of the world and end up getting butchered. Salon XC is my neighborhood joint, and I won't go anywhere else. They have very flexible hours, so I can show up after a long day of work, and still get an excellent haircut without booking weeks in advance, overpaying, or putting up with attitude. I have had my hair cut by at least 4 or 5 different stylists and each one does a fantastic job, while being both very personable, and very professional. They also help me out with recommending hair care products. I have no clue what shampoo to use, or what to put in my hair to keep it in place, and they totally hook me up every time I go. I would be in eternal hair hell without this place. I challenge anyone to find a place anywhere in the area that offers the convenience, quality, and personal care of Salon XC at almost any price, let alone the value you get there.
